LECHTAL NATURE PARK
What is actually a nature park? The VNÖ, i.e. the association of Austrian nature parks, describes a nature park as follows: “a nature park is a protected landscape area originated from the interaction between man and nature. They are usually landscape areas that have gained their present shape over centuries and that need to be preserved through the people that live and work there, through mild forms of land use and landscape care. In a nature park this cultural landscape is made accessible to visitors through special facilities and as an attracting recreation area”.
